I’m writing this very quick note to you from my dressing at the London Palladium where, as I’m sure you know, I’m playing Queen Rat in this year’s spectacular pantomime Dick Whittington! It’s such great fun and I know many of you have already been to see the show and have enjoyed it tremendously.
Well what a year it’s been … aside from my weekly BBC Radio 2 EPOS, which continues to grow and grow in audience size, I’ve filmed two TV shows. ITV’s Midsomer Murders and a new BBC sitcom with the very funny Johnny Vegas, both of which will hit your TV screens early next year, so watch this space for further news! I finished the year with some more concert dates, visiting theatres I had either not been to in a long time or had never been to before, and managed to see and chat with so many of you, which is always such a great pleasure; to hear your feedback and get your support means so much to me. Then as soon as the concerts were over it was straight into rehearsals for Dick Whittington and before I knew it, it was opening night! And what a fantastic time I’m having – the most wonderful, lovely cast and crew, a fun filled show and hearing a full theatre every performance laugh, cheer and applaud that much is just thrilling! Its great to be back on a West End stage!
Oh! I’ve just been told everyone is being called for the start of the performance so it just leaves me to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy & Happy 2018 to you and your family.
Looking forward to seeing you all at some point next year. Thank you all once again.
